How busy HR teams struggle with employee retention

CT Leong: [:

When I work with these teams. What I see them often struggling with are things like hiring, making sure we get the talent pipeline in order, we're attracting the right kind of candidates to apply for our jobs and so on. We also see a lot of concerns around payroll, making sure that it's administered correctly, making sure that we comply with all the various state and federal regulations.

These trends are difficult to do or difficult to track effectively. So what ends up happening is when people leave, you start seeing ripple effects on individual teams. They have to reorganize processes to compensate within hr. We need to post a new position again and recruit and interview, and schedule all over again.

Running our background checks on these new candidates, reference checks and so on. For managers, they then get stuck into the cycle of preparing, onboarding and training materials for the new hires, making sure that we get all the start dates and everything sorted out correctly. And what ends up happening is, People burnout, they resign and the cycle repeats itself.
